PiP Search is seeking an Education Sales Advisor, K-12 Education (Australia) on behalf of our client, a company delivering high quality professional learning services and resources for K-12 educators across the globe.
The role is located in Melbourne or Victoria, Australia.
Under our client’s central mission of helping educators make the greatest impact, the Education Sales Advisor is responsible for successfully planning, executing, and reporting on sales of their offerings in an assigned territory at managers discretion. The role requires responsibility for developing relationships with clients and for prospecting new business in the designated territory. Clients include school administrators, principals, regional associations, and Professional Development (PD) Institutions.
The Education Sales Advisor acts as an adviser to principals and system administrators on how to incorporate various professional learning offerings and resources in their strategic professional development plans.
The Education Sales Advisor is the key driver of the proposal writing process for their clients and is charged with overseeing the delivery process once business is won.
Responsibilities
- Increase uptake of company offerings in allocated territory and drive consultative, relationship-based sales
- Consulting with schools and systems to determine professional development and resources needs
- Sales of the suite of professional learning services and resources
- Assist management with developing sales strategies across territories
- Collaborate and liaise with the marketing staff to effectively promote products through various marketing activities
- Collaborate and liaise with wider team to support and maximize sales while maintaining good client relations and providing market feedback to the wider team
- Support company events by attending events and assisting with logistics
Sales Management
- Build territory sales plans (annual, quarterly and monthly, as appropriate)
- Conduct in person meetings to qualify leads and win business from new clients
- Virtual relationship building with existing clients and new prospects
- Conduct market research to understand PD needs of individual territory
- Achieve revenue targets and profit goals established for the territory
- Create proposals, provide quotes, sets up demo sessions
- Champion and help develop new selling strategies for their products
- Consistently track key sales opportunities throughout the sales seasons, via MS CRM both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Manage the data collection and lead generation process to deadlines
- Monitor sales activity on a weekly basis and inform the manager of progress towards goals, key adoption activity, and closed business
Consultative Selling, Training, Proposal Support
- Act as an adviser to professional development administrators on how to incorporate various PD resources in their strategic plans
- Have a clear understanding of education trends, funding and budget cycles
Leadership
- Represent the sales department in, and sometimes facilitating, various sales, and other company wide meetings
- Help with planning and facilitation of sales meetings and product-knowledge meetings
- Meet with events, professional learning and marketing personnel to collaborate on strategies
- Maintain product knowledge through discussions with professional learning team, sales meetings and self-education
